What Can You Make at Western Woodworkers?
People come to Western Woodworkers with many different ideas. Some want to turn a bowl, make a box, repair something useful, build a small piece of furniture, carve timber, make a gift, or finally start a project they have been thinking about for years.
The club is well equipped enough to support a wide variety of woodcraft. Members bring their own project materials and work at their own pace, with informal support available through the experience of other members.
Project ideas members can work on
Projects may include wood turning, box making, small furniture pieces, carving, tool making, repairs, household items, display pieces, gifts and personal projects. Some projects are simple and practical. Others are more detailed and take time to plan, shape and finish.

The workshop includes lathes, saws, sanding equipment, a thicknesser/planer, a morticer and other tools. Machinery use requires certification before independent use, so members can work safely and build confidence over time.
